Frequently Asked Questions

Find clear answers to common questions about Kingdom Come, from vision and goals to giving and how you can get involved.

Kingdom Come is a discipleship initiative in which we hope to see the goodness and grace of Jesus rule the day in each of our hearts and all of our homes to the next generation, neighbors and the nations.

We believe we’re living in a pivotal season... not just in our church, but in our city and generation. From the openness of Gen Z, to new partnerships across Fort Worth, to unprecedented global invitations, God is placing opportunity in front of us that previous generations prayed for. Kingdom Come is our response to that: an invitation to go all in, not just financially, but spiritually, relationally, and missionally for the sake of the Gospel.

Not at all. Kingdom Come is about every part of our hearts reflecting the rule and reign of Jesus. That said, generosity is a powerful place to start. Jesus says our hearts always follow our treasure (Matthew 6:21). Taking a step in the area of generosity can be a catalyst to spiritual growth in every area of our lives. That’s why we’re starting here. But over the next two years we will spend focused time with each of the obstacles Jesus names in Matthew 13. Our prayer is that 100% of Doxology would say yes to 100% of Jesus’ invitations, and that as we each cultivate a responsive heart we will see spiritual fruit that goes beyond our biggest prayers and wildest imaginations.

A one-fund approach combines all giving into a single fund that supports every aspect of a church’s vision and ministry. Instead of designating separate gifts for operations, missions, or building projects, every dollar given goes toward the whole mission. This simplifies giving, unites the church around one goal, and makes it easier to celebrate the full impact together.

Doxology is a grace place. You don’t have to do anything. However, since Kingdom Come represents all our anticipated financial generosity toward Doxology, not just giving to one specific project, your Commitment Card is essential to our ability to budget wisely and pace our pursuit of the vision appropriately.

This initiative is about each of us engaging Jesus personally and asking Him what it would look like for His goodness and grace to rule over our generosity. The question is not whether someone would consider your commitment “large” or “small;” it’s the heart response your commitment reflects before God.

The "Commit" button becomes a "Give" button, and you can set up your giving directly through the online portal on this website or at doxology.church/give. We will also be celebrating what God has done in worship together on Dec. 7th at all three of our congregations.
